An increasing number of research studies show that massage therapy is beneficial for an array of health conditions, especially those linked to stress related tension, which health care professionals account for 80 to 90% of disease.

Just a few of the physical benefits of massage therapy are: pain relief, increased energy, increased circulation, improved posture, relief of tension headaches and migraines  and a strengthened immune system. In addition to the physical benefits there are numerous positive effects massage has on our mental and emotional health including enhanced sleep quality, improved concentration, increased alertness, and reduced mental tension.  Just receiving caring human touch through massage is very therapeutic and helpful in dealing with stress, grief, loneliness, anxiety and depression, therefore it's often prescribed by psychologists. It's a wonderful way to nurture ourselves to health.

  • Circulatory/ Swedish Massage- This massage technique is used to increase the oxygenation in the bloodstream, which helps to flush out toxic debris.  An accumulation of toxins decrease the efficiency of your muscles, making you feel tight, stiff, and tired.
  • Deep Tissue/Sports Massage- This type of massage is similar to the circulatory massage, but it is specifically for problem areas by applying firm pressure.
  • Combination Massage- Combination of the circulatory/Swedish massage and the deep tissue/sports massage.  Firm pressure is applied in the back and shoulder area while still getting that pleasant circulation throughout the body.

  • Pregnancy Massage- Helps to increase the circulation and reduction of swollen lower extremities by having the patient on a side-posture thus relieving weight-bearing tension on the lower back.
  • Reflexology- A massage technique specifically for the hands and feet that corresponds to all the body's various glands and organs.  This technique helps your body function efficiently.
